Stratford High golfer Matthew Riedel returned from the UIL Class 6A boys state golf tournament with a one-of-a-kind trophy and ribbon that reflected his individual title as best in Texas. In related news, Memorial High’s boys golf team finished in third place, and the Stratford High’s boys golf team qualified for the state competition. |

About 80 fourth- and fifth-grade girls from Spring Branch ISD elementary schools attended a recent Girls in STEM Conference held in Austin. Next year, Girlstart’s annual meeting will move to Houston as interest climbs in this nonprofit educational program.

UIL Program Ratings & Results |
Spring Branch ISD music students returned this spring from performing arts competitions with top tier state rankings and results. SBISD student choirs, bands and orchestras completed the UIL season with 31 campus-based groups earning the Sweepstakes Award, which is issued for Superior rankings in concerts and sight-readings. |
