Embracing the spirit of ‘thanks’

From vibrant turkey art displays to exciting events for families at schools across the district, SBISD embraced the spirit of Thanksgiving this week. Our heartfelt appreciation goes out to everyone who plays a role in shaping the success of our students. We thank our dedicated educators and all members of the SBISD Family as well as our parents, partners and volunteers who help unlock the doors of knowledge and opportunity for our students. Your commitment does not go unrecognized.

As we take a break from Nov. 20 through Nov. 24, we hope you will take a moment to appreciate your students for their hard work this semester. Let them know you're proud of their accomplishments and look forward to their strong finish when we return for the few weeks until Winter Break.

Student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding achievements during 2023 Signing Day celebrations at Memorial and Stratford High Schools this month. These talented individuals have shown not only exceptional athletic ability but also strong academic standing, leadership skills and sportsmanship.

In SBISD, we strive to foster the strengths and gifts of Every Child, and the success of our student athletes is a testament to that dedication. As these graduates reach their T-2-4 goals, they embody the vision of our school district and serve as inspiration to their peers.
