SBISD recently celebrated 20 years of its SpringBoard Mentoring Program with a community event featuring a keynote address by renowned educational speaker Aric Bostick, and the unveiling of a new scholarship fund for students who have benefited from mentoring during the program’s two decades of service.
At the event, mentors were recognized for their contributions to the lives of their students and the Spring Branch ISD Mentoring Programs Scholarship Fund was launched with a $2,000 check presentation. Bostick's speech, The Power of Showing Up: The Art of Building Unbreakable Bonds, provided insight on the importance of mentorship and relationships between children and adults.
The event ended with thanks to the Spring Branch Education Foundation, and a call for the continued collective greatness of the community.
