In Spring Branch ISD (SBISD), nothing comes before the safety of students and staff. This year, district teams and SBISD Police worked hand in hand to ensure every campus is prepared, secure and ready.
SBISD is committed to safety year-round, strengthened by the collaboration of district staff, campus teams and SBISD Police. Together, we work to ensure every student can learn and grow in a safe environment.
Over the summer, the district completed 2,372 hours of safety training involving police officers, campus staff and other team members. SBISD Police coordinated closely with more than 50 area law enforcement agencies to build strong relationships and rapid response capabilities. Officers also conducted more than 300 hours of campus perimeter checks to ensure school grounds remain secure.
Every one of SBISD’s campuses underwent the Texas Education Agency-required exterior door and perimeter audits, and 33,000 new student ID badges were printed to help keep students accounted for and safe.
