We begin this edition of Inspire by celebrating our Character Without Question honorees - students who model integrity, empathy, perseverance and leadership every day. This annual recognition is not an isolated moment. It is a reflection of our system-wide focus on the Core Characteristics of a T-2-4 Ready Graduate and SBISD's vision of T-2-4 for Every Child.
When you look across our schools and classrooms, one thing is clear: strong character is showing up in every corner of Spring Branch!

| Leading on the field and in the show ring |
Our student-athletes and Career and Technical Education (CTE) students excelled this month in two arenas, under the stadium lights and in the show ring.
Academic All-District honorees balanced practices and competition with rigorous coursework. That takes discipline, focus and accountability.
In “Records broken, Champions named,” we celebrated the Spring Branch FFA's annual Show and Sale. The event delivered record scholarship dollars and successful animal sales. Behind the results are months of early mornings, animal care, financial planning and presentation skills. |

Creativity with purpose |
|
In our Rodeo Art celebrations, including “Let’s get to know some rodeo artists” and the Rodeo art showcase finale at the Altharetta Yeargin Art Museum, students demonstrated more than artistic skill. Preparing artwork for competition takes resilience, attention to detail and strong communication. These are in-demand workforce skills.
When students step forward to present their work before a packed room of families and community members, they are building confidence, composure and self-awareness. They are modeling character development in action. |

Educators leading by example |
|
Our 2026 Campus Teachers of the Year and counselors like Kala McKnight, Bianca Whitaker and Katrina Raglin remind us that character is taught and modeled.
Great educators do more than deliver content. They create classrooms where character development and high expectations are the norm. They advocate for students, ensure Every Child thrives and push young people to see their own potential.
Thank you to our educators for inspiring minds and shaping lives. |

Service that strengthens community |
|
From the Spring Branch Education Foundation (SBEF) Sporting Clay Tournament raising significant funds for students, to record-breaking Black bucket donations by the Stratford Playhouse supporting special education, to volunteers strengthening programs across campuses, our community models what it means to be individuals of character.
This month's “Moments that matter: School crossing guards” and a spotlight on campus-led service projects, including donations to local shelters, highlighted what service-driven leadership looks like in action, from both staff and students.
Students learn by watching adults who show up consistently, serve faithfully and protect what matters. Their engagement shapes ethical, service-minded graduates. |

Pathways that build purpose |
|
In this month's Alumni Spotlight, a former JROTC student now serves as a vice president of process improvement. The leadership, discipline and accountability he developed as a high school student in SBISD laid the foundation for executive-level success.
In “Inspiring the next generation of scientists,” we highlight students engaged in hands-on, rigorous learning that demands collaboration and curiosity. In “Meet Memorial High School's Alice Robison,” we spotlight a student whose drive and determination set her apart. |
