SBISD recognized by Harvard's Education Recovery Scorecard

It’s the season of celebrations in SBISD, and there is so much to celebrate across our district. From student achievements and milestone moments to record-breaking scholarship totals for the Class of 2026, the momentum continues.

Adding to that excitement, SBISD was recently recognized by Harvard University’s Education Recovery Scorecard as a “District on the Rise.” SBISD was one of only 108 school districts nationwide and the only district in Texas recognized for demonstrating continued accelerated academic growth in both reading and math compared to peer districts.

This marks the second consecutive year SBISD has been spotlighted by the Education Recovery Scorecard, reflecting the district’s ongoing commitment to student achievement, strong instruction, and T-2-4 for Every Child. Read more

Raiders celebrate Class of 2026 on the RISE

A historic milestone was celebrated in May at Northbrook High School (NHS) as the first cohort of RISE College Academy students graduated with associate degrees before even receiving their SBISD diplomas.

The 41 students collectively earned more than $1.5 million in scholarships and are headed to colleges and universities across Texas and the nation with two years of college already completed. Through innovative programs like RISE, SBISD is helping students accelerate their futures while saving families millions in college tuition costs.

The success continues to grow, with additional RISE cohorts underway at Northbrook and Spring Woods High School’s Tiger College Academy preparing to graduate its first associate degree cohort next spring. Read more
