Academy of BusinessBusiness and Finance students participate in a unique curriculum supplement and have internship opportunities in related fields.
Academy of Business (AOB) bridges the gap between the classroom and the workplace. The unique curriculum supplements a student’s regular course load and offers the chance to work as an intern. Students have opportunities throughout the program to hear industry leaders, develop networking and interviewing skills, create resume portfolios and discuss career options, all while receiving specialized education. The Academy of Business program began in 2000. Today, more than 1600 students have successfully completed the program.
Students in grade levels 10, 11 and 12 are eligible to participate.
Academy of Business Requirements
- AOB requires earning 4 credits in business courses completed within a single Program of Study plus a 160-hour internship in a business/finance related job.
