Patient Care Technician

The Patient Care Technician program of study introduces students to careers that can lead to a job in a hospital or nursing home immediately after high school. Students in this program will learn skills needed to assist nurses, perform EKG testing, and draw blood. Students in the PCT program will also have the opportunity to engage in direct patient care at Memorial Herman Memorial City and earn certifications in PCT, EKG, and Phlebotomy.

Healthcare is a growing industry with jobs for students at many levels of education. Whether you want to enter the workforce right after high school, or continue on to a 2 or 4 year college, the PCT program of study will learn valuable nursing and patient care skills for whatever comes next.
