Pharmacy Technicians play a key role in patient care and are heavily involved in the successful operation of a pharmacy. As a pharmacy technician, you can work in a variety of settings including retail pharmacies like Walgreens or HEB, hospitals, nursing homes, or online pharmacies. Students in the pharmacy technician program learn to fulfill the duties of a pharmacy tech including prescription authorization, dispensing medicine, inputting patient data, and inventory maintenance.
Through this program, students will not only learn the knowledge and skills needed to become Certified Pharmacy Technician, but they will also have the opportunity to complete an internship at a pharmacy in the community, leading to a highly skilled and well paid job right after high school.
